Privacy policy

In effect from September 25, 2026.

iRememberU is a private place for a family’s memories, run by Mega Coders LLC. This page says what we keep, who can see it, and how to take it back. We don’t sell your information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

What we keep

Your account. Your name, your email address, and how you sign in. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from them — with Apple’s Hide My Email, only the relay address. We never see your Apple or Google password.

What you share with your family. Photos, videos, voice recordings, the stories you write, answers to questions, comments and reactions, the dates you remember things happening, and who is in a memory.

Your family. The people in it and how they are related, and for each person a name and, if someone adds them, a birthday, a photo and a short description. A family member can add a relative who has no account — a child, or someone who has passed away.

Your devices. A notification token for each phone you sign in on, so we can send the notifications you’ve chosen, and your notification settings.

When something breaks. If the app crashes, a report of what failed, the kind of phone and the app version, tied to your account by an ID number — never your name, your email, or anything you’ve shared. No screenshots and no recordings of your screen.

We don’t collect your location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers. The app uses your camera, microphone and photo library only when you choose to add something, and keeps only what you choose.

If you were invited as a guest

Someone can invite you to add photos or videos to an occasion without an account. We keep the name you type and what you upload, and show them to the family who invited you. To have something removed, ask them, or email support@irememberu.app.

Who can see it

The members of the family you shared it with. If a family shares an occasion with guests, anyone holding that occasion’s link can see what has been added to that occasion — and only that — until the family turns the link off. Nothing else has a public address: a link to a memory only opens for someone already in the family. A family may ask that new memories are approved before everyone sees them.

People at Mega Coders LLC look at a family’s content only when that family asks for help, or when the law requires it.

Companies that help us run it

They handle information only to provide their service to us, under their own terms: Convex (our database and servers), Cloudflare (stores and delivers photos, videos and recordings), Vercel (this website), Resend (the emails we send you), Apple, Google and Expo (signing in and delivering notifications), and Sentry (crash reports). These companies are based in the United States, so your information is processed there.

We don’t send what you share to any AI company, and we don’t use it to train anything.

How long we keep it

For as long as your family keeps it — that is the point of the app. You can delete a memory, a comment or an answer of yours at any time, and the files behind it are deleted with it. Backups and delivery caches can take a little longer to clear.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app, or by email within 30 days. Your sign-in, email address and devices are removed; if you used Sign in with Apple, we tell Apple to end it. What you gave your family stays with them, under your name, unless you remove it first. Exactly what is removed and what stays.

Children

Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. Younger children appear in a family only as a profile that a parent or guardian adds and looks after; they don’t sign in and we don’t collect anything from them directly. If you believe a child has made an account, email support@irememberu.app and we’ll remove it.

Your choices

You can see and correct your details in the app, turn notifications off, remove what you’ve shared, and delete your account. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to a copy of your information or to object to how it’s used — email support@irememberu.app and we’ll help, whatever the law where you live requires of us.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Questions: support@irememberu.app.
